Missing PORTS (COM & LPT)
I have an Inspiron 1000 laptop and there is no Ports ( COM & LPT).
If I go to control panel then device manager the Ports (com &lpt) is gone,

After installing replacement dell hard drive I reinstalled Win XP and
all drivers from Dell driver disk. There are no com ports listed in device mgr.

CSx Com port conflict
I'm having trouble accessing the internet and I think it has to do with
a device conflict. My com port is com1 and the I/O is 03F8-03FF and the IR is

APC UPS and COM ports
I have found that my APC 1400 SmartUps is not communicating with
either of the COM ports in my PE4400. If I leave it plugged into port 1 it
thinks that the UPS is always on battery power no matter what the state of the
power and vice-versa when plugged into COM port 2. &#

M20 Com ports for Activesync
Trying to sync via a Bluetooth USB dongle to my Ipaq. The Bluetooth
devices COM ports only offer ports above 16 but Activesynch does not seem able

I just bought a desktop model C521. In the back of the computer it has
2 DB9 ports ( both female) one is for the monitor, I am not sure if the other

Com ports in Device manager for Bluetooth
I have problem getting my Bluetooth adapter to work, because it always
tells me that all com ports are not available...When I check the Device manager
shouldnt there be a register with LPT/COM ports or something? If yes how could
I install it, or does anyone know a solution?
